How Does The Tru-Hitch Work?
|
The Tru-Hitch lifts the truck to be towed by attaching the Tru-Hitch's booms to the towed vehicle and then hydraulically extending the booms and mast cylinders to raise the load. This allows us to lift the truck being towed to the desired height while maintaining a level fifth wheel.

Want to know what the drives of your tractor, and the wheels on the ground of the towed vehicle will scale at ? Use this calculator to find out. Plug in your estimated front and rear weights of the towed vehicle, add some wheelbase info in inches and the sheet will do the work for you.
Other fifth wheel mounted device calculators simply tell you how much weight you can lift before the front end of your tractor comes off the ground. Because towing with a Tru-Hitch actually adds weight to the front of your tractor, this calculator gives you the information you really need to scale.
